Charles Douglas Hadley

Charles Douglas Hadley, age 63, died on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Cushing Regional Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th, at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.  Visitation is Thursday until 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Charles was born on May 31, 1946, in Nehawka, Nebraska, to Zella (Wade) and Sterling “Bud” Hadley.  He married Patricia Payne in Oklahoma City in 1973.  Charles was a carpenter by trade, and he loved to fish and to play guitar. He is survived by his mother, Zella Scott; two sons, Charles Hadley, Jr. of Moore, Oklahoma, and David Hadley of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters; Lisa Madden of Cushing, Oklahoma, and Debbie Butler of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Dean Hadley of Kimberling City, Missouri, and Everett Hadley also of Kimberling City; two sisters, Janice Bowman of Kimberling City, and Beverly Boyd of Moore, Oklahoma; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Hadley, and his father, Sterling “Bud” Hadley.
