Charles Edward Flannery, age 71 and a resident of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his home under the loving care of his family. A memorial service is planned at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Trinity Baptist Church, and Ron Duvall will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Little Cemetery. Charles was born on November 20, 1942 in Savanna, Oklahoma to Charley Robert Flannery and Alma Clay (Brown) Flannery. He graduated from Bowlegs High School, and worked as a truck driver for many years until his retirement for Koch Industries. He married Judy Carol McGee on February 8, 1963 in Texas. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church, and in his younger days, he loved car racing and fishing. Recently, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by one son, Michael Charles Flannery of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Sherry "Micki" Sanders of Seminole; one sister, Sernanda (Flannery) Anderson of Arpelar, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Christopher Yarbrough, Stormy Beck, Raedian Sanders, and Kenny Sanders; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charley and Alma Flannery; and his wife of forty-seven years, Judy Carol Flannery in 2009.
