Charles Wayne Davis

Charles Wayne Davis, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Oklahoma City at the age of 70. Charles was born on November 27, 1954 in Talihina, OK to Tom Davis and Hedy Mae (Tiger) Davis. He spent most of his life in Seminole, OK and Midwest City, OK. Charles married Kathy Kemble on September 24, 1973 in Sasakwa, OK.

Charles enjoyed OU football, golfing, fishing, going to garage sales and casino trips with family. He also took joy in grilling, going to flea markets, listening to the blues and spending time with his dog, Courage. He was a fan of the Washington Redskins. He was a member of OAP. Most of all Charles loved spending time with his family, hanging out with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He treasured making meals for his family. 

Charles is survived by his wife, Kathy Davis of Midwest City, OK; son, Travis Davis of Midwest City, OK; three daughters, Tracy Davis and John Staggs of Midwest City, Rozina Davis and Brandon Rushing of Noble, OK and Shenena Davis and Erik Niesen of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Cynthia Davis; eight grandchildren, Grason Palos, Gavin Palos, Zachary Shrader, Aryah Shrader, Corbin Staggs, Cainan Staggs, Samuel Neisen and Emberly Neisen; four great grandchildren, Jacquiline Alvarado, Leon Palos, Meeka Westmoreland and Takoda Palos and many other family and friends. 

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda Gentry; brothers, Abler (Opie) Davis and Tony Davis. 

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK. 

Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
