Charles Birkicht

Ira “Charles” Birkicht, 77 year old longtime Seminole County and current Prague, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Seminole Hospital.  He was born December 17, 1940 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to parents Beulah (Parson) Birkicht and Ira Oliver Birkicht. Charles graduated from Prairie Valley High School in 1959.  Charles went on to serve in the United States Army earning the rank of an E-4. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and taking care of his cattle. Charles worked for over 25 years for Conoco Phillips working as a supervisor on production rigs. Charles leaves to cherish his memories 3 daughters, Tina Stuckey and her husband Steve of Minden, Louisiana, Paula Harris and her husband Ryan of Claremore, Oklahoma, Jennifer Middleman and her husband Thomas of Broussard, Louisiana; 2 brothers, George Birkicht and his wife Deloris of Spencer, Oklahoma, Fred Birkicht and his wife Dorothy of Ruby, Louisiana; 2 sisters, Rosa Goforth of Seminole, Oklahoma, Norma Goss-Hurst and her husband Bob of Maud, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Courtney Sullivan (Casey), Amber Reed (Michael), Michael Stuckey, Summer McCall (Colton), Emma Middleman, Megan Oldashi, Jack Middleman, Reace Ethan Harris, Sophia Stuckey; 6 great-grandchildren, Kaloni McCall, Christopher Reed, Jemma Sullivan, Hollis Reed, Jaci Sullivan, Kingston Reed; Charles’ former wife and the mother of his children, Delores Lankster and her husband Harris of Natchitoches, Louisiana; and a host of other family and dear friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah (Parson) Birkicht and Ira Oliver Birkicht, and by two brothers, Billy Birkicht and Eugene Birkicht. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery located north of Seminole. Casket Bearers will be: Steve Stuckey, Ryan Harris, Thomas Middleman, Bill Rankin, Colton McCall and Casey Sullivan. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
