Charla Ann (Bruner) McGee

Charla Ann (Bruner) McGee , age 83, and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2021 at Konawa Cemetery in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.

Charla McGee was born January 29, 1937 in Megargel, Texas to Charlie Bruner and Adela (Symank) Bruner.  She graduated from Megargel High School, became the owner of her own flower shop.  She married Bill McGee in the Bahamas in November, 1996.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa, and Charla loved dancing.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Bill McGee of the home; two daughters, Pam Davis of Aledo, Texas, and Lisa Griffin and husband, Rick of Stratford, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Jared Griffin, Hunter Griffin, Justyn Chapman, McKenzie Dove, and Evan Dempsey; and four great grandchildren, Beau Griffin, Kreece Griffin, Henry Chapman, and Beckett Chapman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Adela Bruner, and one son, John Guthrie, Jr.
