Chalon Benjamin Holden, Sr., age 73 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Ft. Sill National Cemetery near Elgin, Oklahoma. Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate. Chalon was born on September 14, 1941 at Addyston, Ohio to Gerald Holden and Francis (Keafer) Holden. Chalon proudly served as a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps from November 10, 1958 until December 14, 1962. He married Rosalyn Jewell on February 20, 1960 in Montclair, California. Chalon worked as a long-haul truck driver for Calvin Trucking Industry, and he loved to “surf” the internet and to go fishing. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rosalyn Holden of the home; one son, Chalon Benjamin Holden, Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Marria Dee York of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Teresa Ann Collins of Konawa; and nine grandchildren. His was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Francis Holden and one daughter, Donna Holden on 12-09-2008. Funeral Information: September 25, 2014, 11:00 AM Graveside Service at Ft.
