Cecil Foreman

Longtime Maud area resident Cecil William Foreman passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his home in Maud at the age of 97. He was born on June 30, 1912 in Little, Oklahoma to George and Ethel (Wood) Foreman.  He married Jessie Mae (Bishop) Foreman on November 17, 1947 in Maud, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death. He worked for the Highway Department for 6 years, and went on to work at Tinker Field for 28 years where he retired in 1979.  He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; Rick and Trisha Foreman of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Tim Foreman of Shawnee, Oklahoma and one brother, Milo Foreman of Prague, Oklahoma.  He is also survived by his caretaker and angel Tina Smith of Maud, Oklahoma.  Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Cummings Cemetery in Maud. Services are under the direction of Knight ~ Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Danny Akin, Gary Akin, Frank Jackson, Cleve Pierce, Farlan Huff and Steve Gillham. Funeral Information: November 7, 2009, 2:00 PM
