Cassandra Lynn Nickols, 41, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015. Cassandra was born July 18, 1974 at RAF Lakenheath, Air Force Base, England to parents Philip and Vicky Nickols. With her father being in the Air Force, Cassie lived in England, Texas, Colorado, Utah, and Florida. Cassie graduated from Pinellas Park (FL) High School in 1992, where she was a cheerleader, staff member with the school newspaper, and an honor graduate. She continued her education at St. Petersburg College, receiving an AS degree in Business. Cassie graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1996 with a BS Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources. Cassie was the Assistant Director of Human Resources at Grand Cyprus Resort in Orlando, Florida from 1996 until 2002. Cassie possessed an abundance of energy and loved to dance. As a child, her dance group of eight kids performed on stage with Miss America, Vanessa Williams, and Donny and Marie Osmond in a star studded event. While in college, she was an Arena Football cheerleader with the Tampa Bay Storm. For her exuberance in exercise class she was known as the Zumba Queen. She was active in three Bible study groups and was an ardent supporter of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team and the Dallas Cowboys. Cassie had battled Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia for almost 20 years. Her passing was unexpected, making this a very difficult time for everyone. Cassie had an unfailing faith in God and put her trust wholly in Him. It is in this knowledge her family and loved ones take comfort that she is happy and Home. She touched so many lives in countless ways. Her final gift was priceless, donating her organs to Life Link so that others may live on. Cassie is survived by her parents, Vicky and Allen Jones, and Philip and Jan Nickols of Clearwater, Florida. Cassie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nolen and Jacqueline Butler, and Philip and Authula Nickols. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Trinity Baptist Church, Maud, Oklahoma with Rev. Butch Bradley officiating. Burial will take place at Cummings Cemetery, Maud, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation in Cassie's name.
