Carolyn Preston (Painter) Martin

Carolyn Preston (Painter) Martin, age 71 passed away at her home surrounded by her family and friends. A memorial service will be planned at a later date, and cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Carolyn was born April 8, 1948 in Charlottesville, Virginia to Carol Preston Painter and Marie (Southern) Painter.  She was a Certified Nurse’s Aide, and she was a member of the H20 Church in Ada, Oklahoma.  Carolyn loved to do beadwork, coloring for adults, and playing on her tablet. She is survived by two sons, Preston Martin and John Daniel Martin both of Charlottesville, Virginia; one daughter, Sheila Armstrong of Konawa, one brother, Johnny Painter of Charlottesville; one sister, Alene Gentry of Waynesboro, Virginia; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Marie Painter; one brother, Danny Painter; and one sister, Joann Irving.
