Carol Jean Parsons

CAROL JEAN PARSONS, a resident of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was born July 11, 1941, in Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of Eugene Victor and Vera Katherine (Burwinkle) Allen. She departed this life, October 1, 2014 in Rogers, Arkansas, at the age of 73 years. Carol worked sixteen years in the County Clerk Office in Independence, KS. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, and her pets. Carol worked at the gift shop at the Great Passion Play. On February 5, 2000 she was united in marriage with Alfred Leroy Parsons who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two children, Chris & wife, Carol Oneslager of Wichita, KS; Don & wife, Kelly Oneslager of Dearing, KS; grandchildren, Olivia & Sophia Oneslager of Wichita, KS; Hailey & Kori Oneslager of Dearing, KS; stepdaughter, Janelle & husband, Gwin Greenwood of Chelsea, OK; step grandchildren, Twilya Lynn Porter of Tecumseh, OK; Heather Nicole Parsons of Moore, OK: step daughter-in-law, Michelle Field of Moore, OK; step great-grandson, Coby Conway of Tecumseh, OK; and close cousin, Vera VanBlaricom of Berryville, AR; and cousin-in-law, Judy Showatter, wife of the late Don Showatter; and a host of other family and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Vera Allen. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole.
