Carol Keesee

Carol Yvonne (Smith) Keesee, 71 year-old Shawnee resident passed from this life Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at her home in Shawnee.  She was born January 27, 1940 in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma to parents Ben Smith and Ruth Helen (Rogers) Smith. Carol graduated from Cromwell High School and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She married Dale Keesee on July 12, 1958 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Dale Keesee of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Judy Keesee of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jonathan Hagen of Sanger, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Darryl and Linda Smith of Seminole, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Karen Smith-McCullar of Seminole, Oklahoma, Judy Hart of Seminole, Oklahoma and Glenda Roland of Davis, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Colter Keesee, Alisha Whitten and Tommy Winans and four great-grandchildren. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Helen Smith; by two brothers Rev. Don G. Smith and Ronnie G. Smith. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with Bruce Benson officiating.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery north of Seminole.
