Carol Ann Himle

Carol Ann Himle, age 73, passed away September 12, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Carol was born March 16, 1946 to Lloyd and Erma Aadland in Sisseton, South Dakota. She married Donald “Butch” Himle in 1970. Carol relocated to Prague, Oklahoma in 1980 where she resided until her death. Carol worked as the Lincoln County Field Representative for Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency. She received many awards for her service to the community, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 presented by the Prague Chamber of Commerce. Her passion was serving the residents of need throughout Lincoln County, in particular, the Prague Christmas Tree Project and the Lincoln County Spirit of Christmas. She enjoyed her job very much, but retired in 2014 after 33 years, due to illness. She also loved to read, watch her “shows” and spend time with family. Carol is survived by her mother; Erma Aadland of Sisseton, South Dakota, her daughter; Dawn Himle of Prague, Oklahoma, her son and daughter in law; Jason and Amber Himle of Prague, Oklahoma, daughter-in-love; Jenny Rogers of Prague, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Shadoe and Mariah Himle, Triston Clay, Landon Himle, Alyssa Himle, Britten Himle,Taylor Young, Mayce Leforce and Tripp Leforce, great-granddaughter; Madelynn Himle, sisters; Audrey Folkestad of Sisseton, South Dakota, Pearl and Leo Deutsch of Prague, Oklahoma, Donna and Durand Steiner of Sisseton, South Dakota, Theresa Faas of Tripp, South Dakota, Debbie and Terry Meland of Waubay, South Dakota and Kim and Mike Bruening of Humbolt, South Dakota and lots of extended family. Carol was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Aadland, brother; Jerry Aadland, ex-husband; Donald “Butch” Himle, brother-in-law; Russ Folkestad, brother-in-law; Bob Faas and son; Scott Himle. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Bible Church in Prague Oklahoma with Pastor Scott Smith officiating.
