Carl James Minter

Carl James Minter, 80 year old lifelong Seminole, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on June 11, 2017 at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He was born July 27, 1936 in Seminole to parents Carl Thomas Minter and Bernice Leona (Moore) Minter. Carl was a member of the Assembly of God Church.  He loved to carve wooden toys, he was very family oriented and loved being outdoors.  Carl was a good story teller, he was just a very happy go lucky guy who had a bigger than life laugh. Survivors include his son, Carl Dewayne Minter and his wife Crystal Dawn Minter of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Samuel Wayne Minter and his wife Janis Minter of Cash, Texas; two sisters, JoAnn Jones of Seminole, Oklahoma and Sue Presley of Seminole, Oklahoma; grandchildren, James Leroy Minter, Daniel Glen Minter, Joseph Minter, Steven Minter, Kimberly Ann Minter; his former wife, Bernadine Minter of Seminole, Oklahoma and her daughters, Lisa and Jackie and their children; and a host of other family and dear friends. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Thomas Minter and Bernice Leona Minter; by his wife, Nedra Ann Minter; by one brother, David Minter; by two sons, Darryl Minter and Jimmie Glen Minter, two brothers-in-law, Harold Presley and Paul Jones. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.
