Longtime Seminole resident, Carl James Edgell, Sr. passed away, Tuesday, June 17, 2006 at the age of 70 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on November 17, 1935 in Seminole to Marcus Marion and Clara Jane (McKinster) Edgell. rnrnCarl married Patty (Young) Edgell on June 18, 1977 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has lived in Seminole for the past eight years moving from here from Las Vegas in 1998. He was a "Teamster" for 30 years in Las Vegas, where he retired in 1997. Carl has been self-employed for the last four years for "Beaver Express Trucking" covering the Shawnee Area. He served in the United States Army for three years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints serving as High Priest Group First Counselor. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club in Seminole.rnrnHe is survived by his wife Patty Edgell of the home, daughter and son-in-law; Donna Carlene and Louis T. Armour, Jr. of Seminole, son and daughter-in-law; Carl James and Angie Edgell, II., of Mulvane, Kansas, five sisters; Dewanda June Edgell of Seminole, Iola Brown of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Marketta Barnum of Scenic, Arizona, Peggy J, Hannan of Seminole, Oklahoma, Carolyn D. Hopper of St. George, Utah, and one brother, Harold Charles Edgell of Clarksville, Arkansas. He is also survived by five grandchildren. rnrnHe is preceded in death by his parents.rnCasket Bearers will be; Fredrick Cooper, Richard Cooper, Carl James Edgell, II., Ronald Gould, Nicholas Armour and Carl James Barnum. rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 10:00am, Saturday, July 1, 2006 at The Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-Day Saints with a burial to follow at Little Cemetery.rnrnIn lieu of flowers donations may be sent to; Humanitatian Aid Fund on behalf of Carl Edgell, LDS Philanthropies, 15 E.
