Calvin Louis Neely

Calvin Louis Neely , age 86 and a former resident of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, passed away October 13, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.

A graveside service was held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Vamoosa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen in Konawa, Oklahoma.

Calvin was born May 11, 1937 in Konawa to Earl Elmer Neely and Dessie May (Barrett) Neely.  He graduated from Sasakwa High School, and he worked as a Data Equipment Repairman for AT&T Communications.  He was a member of Church of Christ, and he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from June, 1957 until June, 1964.  He also served in the National Guard until July, 1975.

He is survived by three daughters, Pamela K. DeLozier and husband, Earl of Ada, Oklahoma, Paula R. Allred and husband, Keith of Ada, and Christa D. Gerhold and husband, Charles of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, David Neely of Prague, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kacee Laxton and husband, Mason, Kirby MacCollister, and husband, Brad, Katherine Gerhold, and Sophia Gerhold; three great grandchildren, Brantley Laxton, Paxley MacCollister, and Declan Laxton; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dovana Pennington; and one brother, Carl Neely.
