Claytis Allen ?C.A.? Jones, Jr. 70-year-old Maud, Oklahoma resident passed from this life after a yearlong battle with cancer on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his home in Maud surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 28, 1938 in Chalk, Texas to parents Claytis Allen Jones, Sr. and Donnie Louella (Davis) Jones.rnrnJones served in the United States Navy where he was a Machinist Mate Third Class, serving from 1956 to 1959.rnrnC.A. married Bettye Jean Cook on January 3, 1968 in Sherman, Texas. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2007.rnrnJones has lived in Maud for the past 23 years moving here from Southmayd, Texas where he was a member of the Southmayd Baptist Church.rnrnHe worked for Hayes Axle, Quality Trailer Supply and retired in 2000 as a Horse Trailer salesman for Redneck Trailer Supply to care for his wife.rnrnSurvivors include his loving family: two sons and daughters-in-law, Claytis ?Allen? Jones, III. and his wife Jennita of Pottsboro, Texas and ?Randy? Scott Jones and his wife Trish of Sherman, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Casaundra Coradell ?Casey? Garren and her husband Larry of Maud, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Tina Jones of Sherman, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby of Howe, Texas and Bernice Williams of Sherman, Texas; four grandchildren, Jessica and her husband Micah Ledbetter of Whitesboro, Texas, Josh Jones of Gunter, Texas, Kaley and her husband Robert Rodriguez of Maud, Oklahoma and Jordy Garren of Maud, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Alice and Woodie Simmons of Kemp, Texas and Mrs. Billie Brown of Grand Prarie, Texas; also surviving is a special friend Phyllis Knight of Bennington, Oklahoma and a host of other dear family and friends.rnrnMr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Johnnie Bernita Jones in 1935 and Georgia Bledsoe in 1984.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ? Thursday ? November 6, 2008 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Chaplain Donnie Knight and Rev. Carl Whitfield will officiate the service.
