Lifelong Asher resident Bruce Alan Holt, 51, died Sunday, September 23rd, at home in Asher. rnHe was born October 20, 1955 in Shawnee to Ernest ?Bruce? and Lessie ?Lee? (Speers) Holt. He graduated from Asher High School in 1974 and attended Seminole Junior College. rnHe married Jennifer Marie (Pitts) on June 11, 1977 in Asher. rnHe worked for Bodard and Hale Drilling as their company welder before opening his own welding and trailer manufacturing business, Holt Trailer Mfg. & Sales, LLC in 1986. rnBruce was a member of the Asher First Baptist Church. He served on the Asher school board for 11 years and coached little league baseball for eight seasons.rn He raised and loved golden retriever dogs and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team.rnrnHe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore Ernest and Archie (Butts) Holt and Joseph Lessie ?Dick? and Elnora Ruth (Ward) Speers; and an aunt, Betty Lou (Holt) Boyles. rnrnBruce is survived by his wife Jennifer, of the home; his parents, Bruce and Lee Holt of Asher; three sons, Brad Alan Holt of Ada, Steven Kirk Holt of Asher and Michael Jeffrey Holt of Kingfisher; rnthree brothers, Ted Holt and wife Evelyn of Calvin, Bob Holt of Asher and Tracy Holt and wife Brenda of Oklahoma City;rn two sisters, Dixie Hunt and husband Kelly of Ada; and Shelly Holt of Asher; an uncle, Harrol Boyles of Asher and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends.rnrnServices will be held Tuesday, September 25th at 2:00 PM at the Asher First Baptist Church with Bro. Dewayne Johnson officiating.
