Bonnie Ruth (Crenshaw) Spooner, age 85 and a life-long resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away January 1, 2020 at Integris Deaconess Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 126 N. Konawa Street in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. Rev. Ron Gadberry and Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Andrew Castleberry, Matthew Castleberry, Jacob Castleberry, Orin Cooley, Jonathon Bounds, and Danney Harper. Honorary bearers are Dwight Butler, and Isaac Hanley. Bonnie was born July 8, 1934 in Konawa to Elmer Hill Crenshaw and Arah Luciel (Bickerstaff) Crenshaw. She worked as a hairdresser and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Konawa. Bonnie loved to help others and to see children smile. She loved to be involved in her church and was a Children’s Church worker for many years. She is survived by one son, Robert Castleberry and wife, Susan of Ada, Oklahoma; two daughters, Deborah Huddleston of Konawa and Bobbi Tyler also of Konawa; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Arah Crenshaw; first husband, Bob Castleberry on July 25, 1979 and second husband, Lucky Spooner on December 6, 2006; one sister, Melba Austin; and one brother, Ralph Crenshaw.
