Bonnie Jean (Fisher) Fennell, 84 year old longtime Seminole resident, passed from this life Monday, May 11, 2015 at her home in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was born on September 2, 1930 in Shamrock, Oklahoma to parents May (Bankston) Fisher and Clarence E. Fisher. Bonnie graduated from Seminole High School in 1949. On February 12, 1952 she married John R. Fennell, Jr. in Van Buren, Arkansas. Throughout Bonnie’s life she worked several different jobs. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Joe Tolbert Trucking; then as a bookkeeper for Independent Tank. Bonnie then worked for Walmart for 23 years before retiring as a customer service manager in 1991. Bonnie is also a past member of the Eastern Star. She was also of the Christian faith and was a member of the World Wide Church of God. Bonnie had a great love for music. She played the piano by ear and was also a member of a ladies barbershop quartet. Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, John R. Fennell, Jr. of the home; two sons, Rockney Keith Fennell of Seminole, Oklahoma, Scott Fennell and his wife Priscilla of Norman, Oklahoma; one daughter, Ginger Stottlemyre and her husband Tim of Edmond, Oklahoma; one sister, Avon Neighbors of Andrews, Texas; four grandchildren, Kymber Fennell, Shelbe Fennell, Aidan Stottlemyre, Rianna Stottlemyre; and a host of other family and dear friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lovia May Fisher; by three sisters, Nora Ann Martin, Gladys Hayes, Ollice Faye Smith; and by two brothers, Woodrow Fisher and Clarence Fisher. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
