Bonnie Marie Boen went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the age of 41. She was born on October 24, 1983 in Dallas, Texas to Steven and Nora (McDonald) Boen. She was the youngest child and only daughter. She spent most of her life in Denison, Texas and Seminole, Oklahoma.
Bonnie attended Varnum elementary and Seminole High School and played softball at Bethel High School. She loved cooking, family, shopping, going to the lake and decorating her home. Her faith allowed her to minister to other leukemia patients.
Left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her mother, Nora Boen; her father, Steven Boen, her brother, Russ Boen; her children, Ashley Jade Boen and James (Jay) Boen; her significant other, Junior Diaz, paternal grandmothers, Rose Gorsuch and Carolyn Boen; aunt, Crystal (Boen) Rea and her husband Chris, uncle Nick Boen and many friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jim and Esther McDonald; paternal grandfather, Warren (Dump) Boen and aunt, Reda Boen.
The memorial service for Bonnie will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 in the chapel at Little Cemetery in Seminole County with Jim and Nita Moreland officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Bonnie’s memory be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or Cancer Care (www.cancercare.org)
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
