Bonnie Marie Allen-Olive

August 20, 1938 — February 24, 2025

Asher

Bonnie Marie Allen-Olive, 86, of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away on February 24, 2025. She was born on August 20, 1938, in Orr, Oklahoma, to Lewis and Lois Lester. Bonnie was the oldest of three siblings, with two younger brothers, Bobby and Wayne Lester.

Bonnie’s early life was marked by frequent moves with her family, from Oklahoma to California. It was in California where she met and married Melvin Allen on August 20, 1955. Together, they had two children, Vicky and Gary. In 1971, Bonnie and her family returned to Asher, Oklahoma, where they built their forever home and settled into a life filled with love and happiness.

Bonnie worked for 25 years as a Human Resources Executive at Solo Cup Co., where she made lasting friendships and earned the respect of her colleagues. After Melvin’s passing, Bonnie married Doyle Olive, gaining five bonus children who she loved dearly.

Bonnie was known for her passion for gardening, especially planting flowers every spring, and being a devoted member of the Asher First Baptist Church. She found joy in tending to her garden and nurturing the beauty around her.

Above all, Bonnie treasured spending time with her family and friends, especially when they roped. Whether at their home pen, where everyone was always welcomed, or traveling the roads to attend events, Bonnie never missed a flag and always had the team’s callbacks figured before the next round. Her love for the sport was matched only by her love for those who participated.

Bonnie’s generosity, kind heart, and unwavering support left a deep impression on everyone she met. Her spirit of kindness and her loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brothers, two sons, and one daughter.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Vicky and spouse Robert Duck of Konawa, OK, Becky and spouse Bruce Honeycutt of Rogersville, MO, Rhonda and spouse Earl Dixon of Mansfield, MO, and Steve and spouse Patti Olive of Garden City, TX; she was blessed with fourteen grandchildren Misty Willson, Kasey Prewitt, RJ Duck, Mason Allen, Chasity Dugger, Eric Honeycutt, Missy Wallace, Jackie Kelley, Clint Berry, Justin Thurman, Dustin Dixon, Natasha Reed, Mandie Adamson, Savana Clark; Thirty-eight great grandchildren KiLee, Caleb, Tessa, Erik, Scotlynn, Carter, Ryan just to name a few, and six great- great grandchildren that were her world. She loved to follow them around to various activities including rodeo, basketball, baseball, and numerous livestock shows.
