Bobby Allen Stanberry, 76 year-old, longtime Seminole County resident passed from this life Monday, June 4, 2012 in Ada, Oklahoma. He was born December 16, 1935 in Centralhoma, Oklahoma (near Coalgate) to parents Oral Stanberry and Lucy (Hembree) Stanberry. Following High School he served in the United States Army as a paratrooper. He then worked as a pipeline X-ray Tec. and a carpenter until his retirement. Bobby married Betty Foster on April 15, 1958 in Reno, Nevada. Bobby was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty (Foster) Stanberry of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and his wife Janell Stanberry of Meeker, Oklahoma, and Mike Stanberry of Wolf, Oklahoma; three daughters and a son-in-law, Paulette Fennell of Del City, Oklahoma, Robin and her husband Sonny Turnbow of Maud, Oklahoma, Debbie Donahue of Wolf, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, one sister, and by one infant daughter, Paulette Beth Stanberry. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2012 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Wolf Cemetery.
