Bobby Joe Northrip, 78, lifelong Seminole resident died, Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bobby was born on February 13, 1939 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Clarence Northrip and Zelma (Simpson) Northrip. Bobby attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Seminole High School in 1957. Bobby married his sweetheart, Shirley Jean (Belyeu) Northrip on June 20, 1958 in Seminole, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on February 2, 2015. Bobby was a parts manager for Seminole Auto Supply in Seminole for 30 years, after that store closed he went to work for Autozone in Seminole and worked for 10 years for them. Bobby loved deer hunting, camping, playing darts at the Heritage House in Seminole, where he was dart champion for two years in a row, he loved watching football, trout fishing, taking naps, working on cars and painting cars, riding horses, and was a cowboy through and through. Bobby loved to take vacations and always took short cuts that usually turned into the long cut, which he called an adventure. Bobby is survived by his two sons; Terry Northrip and his wife Jacque of Newalla, Oklahoma and John Northrip of Seminole, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 27, 2017 at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.
