Bobby Glen Jones

Bobby Glen Jones, age 71 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 4th at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa.  Mona Fulks, Pastor of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Vamoosa Cemetery in Konawa.  Pallbearers are Johnny Jones, Michael Jones, Eric Jones, Gary Logan, Kevin Bishop, and Ronnie Lemmings.  Honorary Pallbearers are Aubry Bryce, Sr. and Adam Hodges. Bobby was born on April 14, 1938, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to Lawrence James Jones and Estie (Price) Jones.  He worked as a truck driver and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Konawa.  He married Gwenolyn (Pickett) in Konawa on May 27, 1957.  She preceded him in death.  He married Mary (Brooks) on April 9, 2004 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Brooks) Jones of the home; three sons, Johnny Jones of Konawa, Oklahoma, Michael Jones, and wife, Shelly of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Eric Jones, and wife, Tiffany of St. Louis, Oklahoma; one daughter, LaDonna, and husband, Aubry, Bryce, Sr. of Konawa, Oklahoma; one brother, Claude Jones of Luther, Oklahoma; one sister, Inetha Waters of Sasakwa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Estie Jones; his first wife, Gwenolyn Jones; one infant son, David James Jones; and two sisters, Sharon Kay Brock and Linda Sue Forbes.
