Bobby Joe Carnes, longtime Konawa resident, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada at the age of 44.rnrnHe was born April 2, 1963 in Ada, OK to Albert Carnes & Juanita (Griffin) Carnes. rnrnBobby Joe attended Vanoss Public Schools. rnrnHe moved to Konawa from Ada 16 years ago. rnrnBobby Joe worked as a self-employed concrete finisher and also operated Gerry's Service Station in Konawa for several years.rnrnHe also had served in the Oklahoma National Guard.rnrnBobby Joe is survived by his spouse Terrie Louise (Taylor) Carnes of the home;rntwo sons, Bobby Wayne and Sonny Boone Carnes both of the home;rnone brother, Ed Graves of Kansas; rntwo sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue & Paul Shahan of Fitzhugh, OK and Billie & Jackie Teel of Ada and a host of other family and friends.rnrnHe was preceded in death by his parents. rnrnGraveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Vamoosa Cemetery with Rev. Jamie Perry officiating.rn rnServing as casket bearers will be Carl Taylor, Jr., Bruce McCraw, Tom Munk, Frankie Walker, P.D.
