Bobby Joe Azlin

January 18, 1953 — September 12, 2021

Bobby Joe Azlin passed away peacefully September 12, 2021 with his family by his side.

Bobby was born January 18, 1953 in Wewoka, OK. to Joe and Lois (Burnell) Azlin.  He grew up in Wewoka and graduated from New Lima High School.  Bobby married the love of his life, Kay (Robertson) Azlin, August 16, 1971.  They recently celebrated their 50 year wedding anniversary.

During the 80’s Bobby worked for the City of Seminole as animal control officer.  He later became a farmer and raised and sold organic vegetables.  He liked visiting with each of his customers and especially enjoyed exchanging stories, and telling jokes.  At one time Bobby was a member of the Seminole Bass Club, and fished professionally for a short time.  Bobby also loved to trout fish at Blue River, where he made lifelong friends.  His true passion was being on the farm and hunting cabin with his son and son-in-law.  Bobby would prepare for hunting season months in advance.

Bobby never met a stranger and if he did they were not a stranger for long.  He enjoyed making others laugh and was never at a loss for words.  Bobby love spending time with family and friends and was always the life of the party.  Bobby especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and telling stories about his “favorite” granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bobby leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Kay Azlin; daughter and son-in-law, Kiley and Billy Adams, daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Jeff Harnais all of Seminole, and son, Cory Azlin of Shawnee; one granddaughter, Brittnee and husband Josh Morris; grandsons, Seth Moppin, Cameron Timberlake all of Seminole, and Kyle Rex Wells of Shawnee; great grandchildren, Preslee Jade Crowl and Hadley Morris, both of Seminole; one sister, Vickie and husband Kent Maye of Seminole.

Bobby will be missed by all who knew him.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Azlin family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion that they provided to Bobby.

Bobby was a big kid at heart so please take you child to get a snow cone.  At his request, make a donation to your favorite snow cone stand so everyone can have a snow cone for Bobby.
