Bobbie Franklin “Bob” Hackworth, 63 year old Tecumseh, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Monday, July 31, 2017 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was born August 31, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas to parents, Eugene Edwin Hackworth and Betty June (Walker) Hackworth. Bob graduated from Derby Kansas High School in 1971. He worked as a self-employed Construction General Contractor until his retirement. Bob leaves to cherish his memories his longtime companion, Maxine Carson of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; two daughters, Lynette Rice and her husband Terry of Ringwood, Oklahoma, Michele Martin and her companion, Scott Ireland of Mulvane, Kansas; two brothers, Michael Hackworth of Springfield, Missouri, Leslie Hackworth of Denver, Colorado; one sister, Teressa Matlock of Wichita, Kansas; 3 grandchildren, Trenton Hackworth, Keely Courson, Shayni Rice; 2 great-grandchildren, T.J. Rice, Gracie Jacobson; Maxine's daughter, Zina McFarland and her husband, Nathan and their children, Kyra, Kyrese, Kyrein and Kyrinna McFarland all of Fort Worth, Texas, and Maxine's son, Robert "Junior" Proctor of Enid, Oklahoma; and a host of other family and dear friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Edwin and Betty June (Walker) Hackworth, and by one brother, Muriece Hackworth who died in 1997. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Historical Strother Chapel located in Maple Grove Cemetery.
