Bob Meyers of Maud, Oklahoma and of Macomb, died Wednesday, June 13, after a long illness. He was 60 years of age. Bob was born September 2, 1946, in Modesto, California to Don l. and Ellen (Goatz) Meyers. rnrnHe had several careers including being a mechanic and owning his own station and garage in Medesto, Ca., logging in Oregon, and police work in Alburqueque, N.M. rnrnHe was a past member of Phi Belta Kappa and a lifetime NRA member. After becoming disabled he developed skills in woodworking, pottery, art, photography and vintage tool collecting and is mentioned on severeal Plomb tool website. rnrnHis parents and their families were from the Maud area and he had pleasant childhood memories of the area, prompting him to move here in the mid 1900's upon his retirement and disability. rnrnBob is survived by long term partner Debra Fox and her children Ben and Chloe Fox all of the home. Sons Billy of Sonora, Ca., Tim of OKC and Stephen and Robert of Virginia. Surviving daughters are Samantha Williams of Modesto, Ca. and Amanda Meyers of Roanoke, Va.. He is survived by 4 brothers: William D, Vernon, Jim and Dennis all of California. He has 4 grandchildren including Stephanie Meyers of OKC.. rnrnHe was preceded in death by his parents.
