William Robert “ Bob” Davis, 91, longtime Seminole resident died Friday, May 24, 2013 at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma. Bob was born June 5, 1921 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Joseph Paul and Louise Gertrude (McGillicutty) Davis. He moved to Seminole at the age of eleven. Bob worked in the family’s insurance agency “ Davis Insurance Agency” from 1952 to 1984 when he retired. He had also worked for sometime at Tinker Air Force Base. Bob was very active in the Seminole community as a 66 year member of the Seminole Kiwanis Club where he had 66 years of perfect attendance and served in many capacities, was a Charter Member of the Seminole Elks Lodge, and was a team member on the 1989 National Ritual Championship Team, he also was a 50 year member of the Seminole Masonic Lodge where he served in many offices and was a 32nd degree Mason. Bob was a member of the Seminole Presbyterian Church. Bob married Emily Katsuno (Suetani) in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 21, 1987 Bob is survived by his wife Emily Davis of the home in Seminole, Oklahoma, his son Jody Davis and his wife Lesa of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, daughter Michele Pfiester of Pahrump, Nevada and his niece Liz Gunter of Seminole, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, Alexis Taylor, Tara Taylor, Sabrina Tara, Kyle Davis, Tyler Davis, Elizabeth Bergen, Michael Bergen and Tim Bergen. His parents and his first wife June Davis preceded him in death. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Wantland officiating. Honorary bearers will be Kiwanis members, Billy Choate, Steve Nelson, Kevin Taylor, Shirlene Cofer, Roger Nansel, Diane Johnson and Darren Frederick.
