Blanche Horn, 81rnJuly 5, 1926 - April 24, 2008rnrnBlanche (Coleman) Horn, 81 year-old Maud resident, passed from this life Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Unity Health Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born July 5, 1926 in Helena, Arkansas to parents Lewis Quinn Coleman and Betty (Tilghman) Coleman.rnrnBlanche served in World War II in the United States Women's Army Corps (W.A.C.).rnrnBlanche was also a former member of the Business and Professional Women's Club; A Cub-Scout Den Mother; and a Leader for the Blue Birds while living in Norman, Oklahoma. She moved to Maud, Oklahoma in 1984 from Norman to Manage Buck's Quick Stop until her retirement.rnrnBlanche then enjoyed being a homemaker and Nana. She was also an avid gardener who enjoyed growing everything from tomatoes to flowers.rnrnBlanche leaves to cherish her memory two sons and daughters-in-law, John & Shannon Elias and Randy & Cindy Horn all of Maud, Oklahoma. One daughter and son-in-law, Margo & Tommy Price of Midwest City, Oklahoma. One Sister, Billie Jones of Glenpool, Oklahoma.rnrnOther survivors include six grandchildren whom she adored; Dawndee Elias, Mandy Elias, Tori Horn, Cole Horn, Lexie Horn and Michael Wood and one great granddaughter, Andrea Kuzlick.rnrnBlanche is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters; Janie, Doris, Quinn and Monte.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 28, 2008 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma with Rev. Wayne Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnCasket Bearers will be; L.D. Coate, Tommy "T.K." King, Jr., Bill Hooker, Jerry Horn, Steve Wall and Steve Wood.
