Billy Smith

Billy Don Smith, 66 year-old lifelong Seminole resident passed from this life Sunday, December 11, 2011 at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma.  He was born June 19, 1945 in Seminole to parents Floyd Leonard Smith and Eulah Lovinia (Vincent) Smith. Billy served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include two sons, William Smith and Robert Smith both of Seminole; one brother, Larry and his wife Betty Jane Smith of Dover, Oklahoma; three sisters, Wanda and her husband Don Waggstaff of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Pat and her husband Mike Moore of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Judy Smith of Seminole; 9 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and dear friends. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leonard Smith; two sisters, Carolyn Colander and Violet Ruth Smith; two nieces, Lisa Smith and Misty Smith. Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Lord’s Community Church located at 501 N. 5th Street in Seminole, with Pastors Jimmy and Anita Moreland officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
