Billy Charles Mills

November 19, 1934 — January 17, 2022

Shawnee residence Billy Charles Mills passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 in Shawnee.

Billy, the son of W.E. and Chloe (Wilson) Mills, was born November 19, 1934, in Bristow, Oklahoma.  On February 14, 1991, he married his sweetheart, Nona Reeves, in South Padre Island, Texas.  Billy was self employed in the sandblasting and coating business.  He contracted for the major oil and gas companies for more than 50 years.  He loved western movies and had an incredible ability to recall their details; i.e. when they released, who starred in them, who directed them.  Nothing was as important to him as his family and their very special fur baby Braxx.  Billy was a member of Abiding Grace Church of Shawnee.  He loved his church family and his pastors Paul and Lessie Gregg.  He couldn’t wait for Sunday to come around so he could go to church.  He loved the Lord with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by two brothers, Ray Mills and Corky Mills.

Billy is survived by his wife, Nona, of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Dean and Rene Mills of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dravin Mills of Shawnee, and Gage Mills of Shawnee; daughters and sons-in-law, LaDonna and Phillip Kerley of Norman, Sherry and Bryan Landers of Washington, Oklahoma, Kiley Mills of Prague, and Trinity Mills of Shawnee; grandchildren, Mica and Jim Deaton, Grayson Clark, Andrew Landers and Faith Landers; great grandchildren, McKenzie and Ben Abla, and Gracie Deaton; a brother, Orville Mills of Coweta; very to special to Billy and Nona’s heart, Jessica Thompson; and many other family and friends.

Per Billy's wishes, no services are scheduled.
