Billy Don Meadows

Billy Don Meadows, age 62 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Monday, April 18, 2011. He was laid to rest at Lone Dove Cemetery on Friday, April 22nd. Billy was born on October 11, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas, to Edith (Miller) and Walter Lee Meadows.  He was a Vietnam veteran in the Army in 1968 and 1969.  He married Imogene “Skip” Bernice (Heard) on April 23, 1988 in Konawa.  They moved to Konawa from South Carolina in 1999.  He worked as an industrial equipment mechanic for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City.   He is survived by his wife of almost twenty-three years, Imogene “Skip” Meadows of the home; one son, Donnie Ray Meadows of St. Louis, Missouri; two daughters, Lorie Lynn Michaels of Missoula, Montana, and Audra J. Smith of Konawa; two sisters, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Walther Meadows, and his grandparents. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to Veterans Corner at P.O. Box 704 Washington, Oklahoma 73093.
