Billy Ray Birkicht , 72, longtime Seminole resident, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Billy was born August 24, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Ira Oliver Birkicht and Beulah Bell (Parsons) Birkicht. Billy attended and graduated from Prairie Valley schools, west of the Little community. Billy worked for Unit Parts Company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, re-manufacturing auto parts. Billy loved playing bingo. He was also enjoyed attending Highway Baptist Church. Billy is survived by three sons; Timothy Birkicht and his wife Connie of Yorktown, Virginia, Randy Birkicht and his wife Angelica of Tribbey, Oklahoma, Kevin Birkicht and his wife Shannon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four brothers; Eugene Birkicht of Norman, Oklahoma, George Birkicht and his wife Deloris of Spencer, Oklahoma, Fred Birkicht and his wife Dorothy of Ruby, Louisiana and Charles Birkicht of Prague, Oklahoma, two sisters; Rosa Goforth of Seminole, Oklahoma and Norma Hurst and her husband Bob of Maud, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Austin Birkicht, Katelynn Birkicht and Tyler Birkicht and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents John and Annie Parsons and George and Fannie Birkicht. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Casket bearers will be Chalin Vaughn, Pat Mitchell, Bill Rankin, Waymon Scott, Johnnie Woods and Hunter Vaughn.
