Billie Kreeger

Mrs. Billie Audine (Goodwin) Kreeger, 83 year-old, Seminole resident passed from this life Monday, November 11, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born September 2, 1930 in Seymour, Texas to parents William Goodwin and Virginia (Rogers) Goodwin.   Billie grew up in Seymour, Texas where she met a young man by the name of Billy Wayne Kreeger.  On May 7, 1950 the two were married in Archer City, Texas.   In 1962 the couple moved to Seminole from Wichita Falls, Texas.   Billie worked for over 27 years at Seminole Public Schools in the cafeteria program.  She was also a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Seminole.   Billie was affectionately known as "Grandma Billie" to not only her grandchildren but to their friends as well at Wewoka Lake.  She cooked the best fried chicken and coconut pie, they were always the family's and friends favorite.  Living on Wewoka Lake she always made sure everyone felt welcome and that no one ever left hungry.  Billie also loved to make quilts and had made all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren a quilt of their own.  "Grandma Billie" will be missed by many.   Billie leaves to cherish her memory her husband of almost 64 years, Bill Kreeger of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jane Kreeger of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law, Mitzi and Eugene Houck of Seminole, Oklahoma; one brother, Gene Goodwin of Seymour, Texas; three sisters, Zeleka Jenkins of Olney, Texas, Glenna Stennett of Olney, Texas, Kathey Moore of Seymour, Texas; four grandchildren, Kyle and his wife Jenna Kreeger of Seminole, Oklahoma, Colt and his wife Heather Kreeger of Greely, Colorado, Kade Houck of Seminole, Oklahoma, Chad and his wife Brooke Houck of Seminole, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Kreeger, Reece Kreeger, Jett Kreeger, Harper Houck; and a host of other family and dear friends.   Billie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Virginia Goodwin; one son, Derrel Kreeger; one brother, Kenneth "Bud" Goodwin; and by one sister, Barbara Brown.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.   Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with Tim Gillespie and Colt Kreeger officiating the service.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.   Casket Bearers will be, Chad Houck, Kade Houck, Colt Kreeger, Kyle Kreeger, Blake Johnson, Jeff Standard and Marty McCain.   Honorary Bearers include, Chuck Stennett, Greg Moore, Jim Anz, Rick Ickert and Roger Ricketts.   Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
