Billie Jo (Jones) Johnson, 73 year old lifelong Seminole area resident, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born in Seminole on November 2, 1942 to parents, Jack Jones and Lavern “Skinny” (Jordan) Jones. Billie grew up in Seminole attending Seminole Schools. She later worked at Seminole Hospital as a cook. On August 23, 2004 she married Anthony “Andy” Johnson. Survivors include her husband, Anthony “Andy” Johnson of the home in Seminole; two sons, Dewayne Brown of Ada, Oklahoma, Bennie Brown and his wife Amy (Guinn) Brown of Seminole, Oklahoma; one daughter, Marchetta Hurt and her husband Robert Hurt of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Derick Johnson of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Jeremy Johnson and his wife Brittany Johnson of Alva, Oklahoma; one step-daughter, Stephanie Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Cherlene (Jones) Yarbrough and her husband Terry Yarbrough of Seminole, Oklahoma; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends. Billie is preceded in death by her father, Jack Jones; by her mother Laverne “Skinny” Jones; by a daughter, Angela Brown who died in 2007; and by her brother Jackie K. Jones who died in 2013. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating the service. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
