Bill D. Murray

Bill D. Murray, age seventy-seven and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Friday morning July 29, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa.  Burial will follow at Non Cemetery in Hughes County with Karen McCullar officiating.  Pallbearers are Jeff Donnelly, Tony Kuestersteffen, Dewayne Sexton, Billy Green, Matthew Kuestersteffen, and Darrel Walker.  Honorary pallbearers are Jess Walker, David Wood, Chris Donnelly, Maurice Green, Don Mantooth, and Jamie Howard. Bill was born on October 22, 1933 in Tipton, Oklahoma to James Roy Murray and Pearl Ena (Miller) Murray.  He married Beverly Ann Janeway on January 4, 1952 at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City.  Bill was a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed doing volunteer carpenter projects for others. He is survived by three daughters, Linda Green of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Kay Murray of the home, and Cindy Donnelly of Byng, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pearl Murray; his wife, Beverly Ann Murray; two brothers, and three sisters.
