“Bill” William King Bridgeman, age 86 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Dora Cemetery in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Steve Lowrance, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Konawa, will officiate. Bill was born on February 7, 1924 in Westerly, West Virginia to Otis Riley Bridgeman and Annie Jane (Bryant) Bridgeman. He married Josephine (Perry) on May 5, 1944 in San Diego, California. He was an auto mechanic and a carpenter, and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Konawa. Bill loved to walk his dog, “Buddy”. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Perry) Bridgeman of Jan Frances Care Center in Ada, Oklahoma; one son, Riley Bridgeman of Konawa, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mary Jo Walker of Konawa, Oklahoma, Jane Brewer of Topeka, Kansas, and Susan Garner of North Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Gracie Bridgeman of Ferndale, Florida; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Annie Bridgeman; one brother, Randolph Bridgeman; and one son, Gary Curtis Bridgeman.
