Beverly Burris

Beverly Joann Burris Former Seminole resident Beverly Joann Burris passed away on August 11, 2010 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 50. She was born on December 12, 1959 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Henry Ford Marzett and Rosalee (Wright) Marzett. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1978.  She married Willie Doug Burris on September 16, 1981 in Ada, Oklahoma and he survives her of the home.                     Beverly worked at the Wichita  Mental Health Facility in Wichita, Kansas and was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband Willie Burris of the home, two sons, Durrell Burris, Zachius Awe and one daughter, Aurielle Burris all of the home, two brothers, Henry Marzett of Seminole and Albert Marzett of Seminole, five sisters, Vernal Dunlap of Las Vegas, Nevada, Fern Robinson of Bakersfield, California, Yvonne Shannon of Wichita, Kansas, Carolyn Edwards of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Dell Carolina of Wichita, Kansas, four sister-in-laws; Patsy Colbert, Rose Burris, Marchell Burris and Yolanda Burris.  She is also survived by four grandchildren; Imauri Rashad Carter, De’auriaunna Carter, Dawnyelle Carter and Don’aiha Carter.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 with Rev. Bobby Ray Curry and J.C. Simpson officiating.  Funeral service will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Westwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma.
