Betty Lou (Stacy) Walker

Betty Lou (Stacy) Walker, age 78 and a resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away from this life October 11, 2016 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Cross Timbers Church located at 320 E. Main in Konawa under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Pastor Ed Bray will officiate, and burial will follow at Dora Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Mitchell McAnnally, Tim Ortiz, Brock Madison, Luke Walker, John D. Davis, Cheyenne Walker, and Ben Newby. Betty was born July 21, 1938 in Salinas, California to Vollie Stacy and Alta (Armstrong) Stacy.  She married Eugene Walker. Betty enjoyed her family, singing, and making rugs.  She also sang with the KTEN Ranch-hands. She is survived by four sons, Frankie Gene Walker, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Konawa, Melvin Lloyd Walker of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Kevin Lee Walker and wife, Rebecca of Konawa, and Kenny Walker and wife, Evie of Konawa; one daughter, Billie Jo Grote of Wewoka, Oklahoma; one brother, Jim Stacy and wife, Ann of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Barbara Dooley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vollie and Alta Stacy; husband, Eugene Walker; two brothers, Ronnie and Harvey Stacy.
