Betty Jewel Stewart, 86, longtime Seminole resident, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Betty was born January 15, 1932 in Seminole, Oklahoma to William Franklin Kaundart and Letha Parilee (Heffley) Kaundart. Betty grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma, and was an Avon Representative for 30 + years in Seminole, Oklahoma. She loved to work in her garden and yard, loved baking, loved music and in her younger days sang in a country western band that sang on the radio. Betty was a member of the Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Betty married Freddie Donald Stewart in October 17, 1947 in Stinnett, Texas and this past month celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. Betty is survived by her husband, Freddie Stewart of Seminole, Oklahoma, her four sons; Freddie Donald Stewart III and his wife Shelee of Newalla, Oklahoma, Bobby Lee Stewart and his wife Kasey of Dallas, Texas, Harold Deats Stewart and his wife Julie of Justin, Texas and Steven Floyd Stewart and his wife Sheryl of Wills Point, Texas, two daughters; Vickie Lynn Cumpton of Anson, Texas and Tammy Gaylean Stewart of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, her foster daughter, Vickie Lee Stewart-Wright of Round Rock, Texas. Her grandchildren; Michelle and Ron Lentz of Wellston, Oklahoma, Brandon and Mandy Stewart of McLoud, Oklahoma, Carrie and Jason Pitts of Jones, Oklahoma, Craig Everett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kelee Everett of Newalla, Oklahoma, Mathew Thompson of Dallas, Texas, Trent Stewart of Dallas, Texas, Courtney and Michael Rodriguez of North Richmond Hills, Texas, Chelsa Stewart of Round Rock, Texas, Justin and Amanda Stewart of College Station, Texas, Jessica and Ryan McDonald of Richland Hills, Texas, Tiffany Stewart of Wills Point, Texas, Steven Stewart of McKinney, Texas, Christopher and Julie Cumpton of Anson, Texas, Elisha and Trey Allen of Early, Texas, Daniel and Mindy Cumpton of Hawley, Texas, Nicole and Bryan Rawls of Bethel, Oklahoma, Tyler Corona of Modesto, California and Kyle Corona of Seminole, Oklahoma, 24 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, great-great granddaughter, Taylynn Cumpton, granddaughter, Stephanie Stewart, son-in-law, Frank Murphy Cumpton, brother, William Franklin Kaundart, Jr. and sisters, Thelma Marie Lillie Pippin and Frances Mae Maloy. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Matt Wyatt officiating.
