Betty Reed Anderson, 67, a long time Maud area resident passed from this life Friday, August 3, 2007 at her home in Maud, Oklahoma. She was born September 4, 1939 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.rnrnShe married Donnie Elbert "Don" Reed, and together they had four children. Don tragically died in an automobile accident in 1982.rnrnBetty later met and married Noel "Junior" Anderson; he preceded her in death in 1994.rnrnBetty worked for Pottowatomie County Commissioners in Shawnee as the road and bridge coordinator until she was recently diagnosed with cancer.rnrnShe moved to the Maud area 46 years ago from Tatum, New Mexico. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maud.rnrnBetty leaves to cherish her memory two sons and a daughter-in-law, Russ and Sherry Reed of Meeker, Oklahoma and Rick Reed of Maud, Oklahoma.rnrnThree daughters and sons-in-law; Angela and Scott Gibbs of Holdenville, Oklahoma; Elizabeth and Gary Job Barnhart of Wewoka, Oklahoma; and Kathy Stacy of Eufaula, Oklahoma.rnrnTwo brothers and a sister-in-law: Jerry Jones of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Raymond and Virginia Jones of Ardmore, Oklahoma.rnrnOne sister-in-law, Laveta Reed of Midland, Texas.rnrnSeven grandchildren; Courtney Lunsford; Charley Nichole Barnhart; Coty Job Barnhart; Taylor Don Reed; Jaden Tyce Gibbs; Lorlie Langston; Faith Flick and Caleb Stacey.rnrnBetty is also survived by a host of other family and dear friends.rnrnBetty is preceded in death by her two husbands; one sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Bobbie Franklin and by one brother, Fred Jones.rnrnCasket Bearers will be; J.P. Lucy, Jessie Williams, Logan Allison, Richie Adams, Ashley Postman and Glen Bowers.rnrnHonorary Bearers will be; Buck Day, Jerry Richards, Paul Lucy, Clifton Grove, Joe Childers, Bob Guinn and Floyd Cox.rnrnFuneral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. - Thursday, August 9, 2007 at The First Baptist Church in Maud, Oklahoma. Greg Goss and Rev. Bobby Shatto will officiate the service.rnrnServices are under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home in Maud, Oklahoma. Funeral Information: August 8, 2007, 11:00 AM
