Betty "Maurine" (Logan) Hudson

Betty “Maurine” (Logan) Hudson, age 89 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Golden Rule Nursing Home in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Funeral services are planned for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled to begin Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Maurine was born January 25, 1930 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Homer “Virgil” Logan and Wilma (Jones) Logan.  She married Jack Hudson on February 9, 1950, and she was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church.  Maurine loved socializing and visiting friends and family. She is survived by two sons, Hershall Hudson and wife, Tricia of Noble, Oklahoma, and Ricky Hudson of Konawa; one sister, Mildred Abbett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Wilma Logan; husband, Jack Hudson on July 13, 2006; one brother and three sisters.
