Betty Jean (Factor) Harjo, 87, longtime Konawa, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Holdenville, Oklahoma. Betty was born on June 23, 1933 in Konawa, Oklahoma to Timmie Ray Factor and Susie Mae (Cummings) Factor. Betty grew up in Konawa and attended Konawa Public Schools and graduated from Konawa High School. Betty was a proud member of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
Betty was a teacher’s aide at Bowlegs Public Schools for many years. She enjoyed shopping, working crossword puzzles and was a member of the High Springs Baptist Church in Konawa, Oklahoma.
Betty is survived by one son; Dale Jesse of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, two daughters; Deanna Jesse of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Denise Johnson and her husband Mike of Okemah, Oklahoma, her brother; Timmie Factor Jr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma, her sister; Francine Johnson, six grandchildren; Tommy Jesse and his wife Lana of Konawa, Oklahoma, Rick Davis of Konawa, Oklahoma, Todd Jesse of Konawa, Oklahoma, Crissy Jarrell and her husband Jason of Dickinson, Texas, Jana Phelps and her husband Lance of Tecumseh, Oklahoma and Kaylee Townley and her husband Chase of Shawnee, Oklahoma and nineteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her granddaughter; Brigid Davis Payne in 2014, her sister Vera Mae Harjo, her brothers; Roman Factor, Harry Factor, Glenn Factor and Edward Factor.
Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Private funeral services are pending.
Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
