Betty "Eileen" (Odell) Gladden

Betty Eileen (Odell) Gladden, age 71 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016 at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Leroy Odell’s farm.  Rev. Jackie Allen will officiate, and burial will follow at Vista Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma. Eileen was born July 28, 1945 in Byars, Oklahoma to Eugene Odell and Valeta (Stehr) Odell.   After graduating from Asher High School, Eileen became a safety valve mechanic for the OG&E power plant.  She married Robert Gladden February 14, 1990 in Denison, Texas.  She loved hunting and fishing, and she loved her grandchildren very much. She is survived by her husband, Robert Gladden of the home; two daughters, Laura Gladden and husband, Bobby of Asher, Oklahoma, and Rebecca Yott and husband, Wesley of Asher; two brothers, Leroy Odell and wife, Karen of Asher, and Sonny Odell and wife, Karen also of Asher; one sister, Peggy Allen and husband, Paul of St. Louis, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Valeta Odell; one son, Jerry Don Dean, Jr., one granddaughter, Heather Johnston; and one brother, Larry Odell.
