Bettie Paula Stanberry, 82, longtime Seminole County resident, died Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her home. Bettie was born September 22, 1935 in Kentucky to Paul Foster and Elizabeth (Terrell) Foster. Bettie was married to Bobby Allen Stanberry on April 15, 1958 in Reno , Nevada . They were married 54 years before his death on June 4, 2012. Bettie was a homemaker and cared for her children and household very well. She was a very good cook, loving and giving person and was always doing something to help someone else. When someone came to visit her, she always wanted to feed them and make them feel welcome, she was a gracious hostess and felt the nicest thing she could do for them was to feed them. During her younger years she worked during several Christmases as an Elf at Macy’s Department Store. She was an avid animal lover and was always taking in another helpless animal. Bettie was a member of the Jehovah Witness. Bettie is survived by her sons; David Donahue  of San Diego, California, Mike Stanberry of Maud, Oklahoma, and Robert Stanberry of Meeker, Oklahoma, her  daughters Denise Perreira of Castro Valley, California, Diane Donahue Sparks of Castro Valley, California, Debra Donahue Stanberry of Maud, Oklahoma, Robin Stanberry of Maud, Oklahoma and Paulette Fennell Stanberry of Loveland, Colorado, her grandchildren; Michael Paul Stanberry, Melanie Smith, James Turnbow, Robert Stanberry, Beau Stanberry, Bessie Stanberry, Sarah Stanberry Wilsie, Henry Donahue, Elizabeth Donahue, Dawson Stanberry, and Rachel Stanberry and 6 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and an infant daughter Paulette Beth Stanberry, and all her siblings. Memorial services will be held to celebrate her life, on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma, with Rev. Tommy Azlin officiating.
