Bettie L. Rosamond-Wilson, 76, longtime Seminole resident, died Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Integris Health in Edmond, Oklahoma. Bettie was born January 6, 1938 in Nanih Chito, Oklahoma to Lucille (Burgess) and Alfred Ford White. She had lived in Seminole for over 57 years moving from St. Louis, Oklahoma to Seminole. Bettie was a member of the Bowlegs Assembly of God, Member of the Phi Theta Kappa-National Honor Fraternity of the Community and attended Seminole Junior College. She worked as a cashier and concession stand worker for the Skyview Drive Theatre, in Seminole, as a Girl Friday for Bob and Karen Beach, secretary for Oartie’s Wrecker Service and was an excellent homemaker. She married Curtis D. Wilson on September 29, 2001 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband Curtis D. Wilson of Seminole, Oklahoma, four sons; Gene Rosamond of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Randy Rosamond and Scott Rosamond both of Seminole and Curtis Wilson, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, three daughters, Juanita Derryberry of Del City, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Tooker of Mustang, Oklahoma and Annette Courtney of Norman, Oklahoma; three brothers, Fred White of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Roger White of McLoud, Oklahoma and Terry White; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Samuel Scott Rosamond (1954-1994), Sister Joyce Massengale, Theda Dressel and a brother Alfred Ford White, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Bowlegs Assembly of God with Rev. Roy Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole. Casket beares will be Gene Rosamond, Randy Rosamond, Keith Dinwiddie, Daniel Derryberry, Kevin Rosamond, Josh Rosamond. Honorary bearers will be Gahlen Derryberry and Scott Rosamond.
