Beth Davis

Beth (Nutter) Davis, 63 year-old, longtime Seminole resident, left this life to go home on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Beth was born December 20, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Jess and Corene (Gibson) Nutter. Beth married Jeff Davis of Little on April 3, 1969 in Little, Oklahoma where they made their home in that community for the past 40 years. Beth was a school teacher all of her working life.  She touched and helped many people while teaching English and French at Shawnee High School, Strothers High School and Seminole High School.  Beth was a former member of the Seminole County Retired Teachers Association and the Oklahoma Education Association.  Beth also loved to quilt and sew in leisure time.  She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ at Little, and she spent many hours helping keep records for the Little Cemetery. During her retirement Beth spent much time as possible keeping up with all her family and network of friends, always offering encouragement and a little advice.  She spent countless hour delving into the past while possessing a great enjoyment for genealogy.  She left a lasting legacy for her family and extended family with all of her research. Beth was well loved and will be greatly missed by many. Beth is survived by her husband Jeff Davis of the home at Little; two sons, Owen Davis and David of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jesse and Lesley Davis of Pryor, Oklahoma; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Dale Streeter of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Kaye and Jimmie Allen of Jones, Oklahoma; One brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Donna Nutter of Seminole, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 24, 2009 at the Church of Christ at Little, Oklahoma.  Rusty Dawson will officiate the service.  Men of the Church of Christ at Little will serve as casket bearers.  Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
