Bessie Mae Scott of Seminole went to be with her Lord November 15, 2007 surrounded by a loving family and with the prayers of countless friends.rnrnBessie Mae (Bess) was born August 1, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas to Clyde Lee and Bessie Mae (Lang) Morrison. She grew up in Texas, and following high school moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma where she met and married Earl Scott. They had one daughter, Janice Kay.rnrnThe family moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1952, returning to Oklahoma in 1960. Bess spent the rest of her life in this state ? living in Ardmore, Oklahoma City, and finally, Seminole where she made her home over the past seventeen years. She was currently a resident at Seminole Estates Nursing Home. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Seminole. rnrnBess loved reading, animals and the company of friends and loved ones. She was known as a dedicated and tireless worker, retiring from Hyde Drug in Oklahoma City after a 20-year career in cosmetics. She was compassionate and concerned for the well being of others, and was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed, but her memory serves to comfort and inspire all those she loved. rnrnBess was preceded in death by her mother and father, and brother Cecil Morrison. rnrnShe is survived by her brother Colonel Clyde Lee Morrison, Jr. (ret.), of San Antonio; daughter Janice and husband Glen Carrell of Seminole; grandchildren; Ted Carrell of Eufaula, Sandy and husband Jeffrey Dismukes of Norman, and Chris and Tracy Carrell of Seminole; great grandchildren; Tony Gamble, Garison Carrell, Beau Dismukes and Chandler Carrell.rnrnServices will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Seminole. The chapel is located at the east side of the church. The proceedings will begin at 11:00AM.
