Bessie Leola Lang, 77 Bessie Leola Lang, Wewoka resident passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77. She moved to Seminole county from Quinton, Oklahoma 20 years ago. Bessie was born April 23, 1939 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to parents, Floyd Winford Lane and Thelma Trudy (Hume) Lane. Bessie was a certified nurse’s aid employed with the Pioneer Nursing home and also a homemaker. Bessie is survived by two daughters, Juddie Lovelace of Wewoka, Oklahoma, Janis Sue Gregory of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Edith Pearl Fuller of McCurtain, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Thelma Lane; husband, Russell Lavone Gibson, Sr.; one son, Russell Lavone Gibson, Jr. on November 19, 2016; one daughter, Patricia Spears; two brothers, William Lane, Raymond Lane and one sister, Thelma Lee Allen. Memorial services for Bessie will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017 at The Church Of Refuge, located at 105 Broadway of America, Holdenville, Oklahoma with James Williams officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole, Oklahoma.
